기획 업무나 분석 업무를 하다 보면 데이터의 통계치를 구해야 할 경우가 종종 있습니다. 통계 전문지식이 있으신 분들은 전용 프로그램을 사용하시기도 하겠지만 습자지처럼 얇은 배경지식을 가지고 있는 제가 데이터의 통계치를 확인하려고 할 경우에는 엑셀만으로도 충분합니다. 엑셀로 데이터 분석을 하려면 기본적인 엑셀 프로그램에 추가 기능을 설치해야 합니다. 이 추가 기능의 이름이 '분석 도구'입니다. 엑셀의 '분석 도구'를 활용하면 '분산 분석', '상관 분석', '히스토그램'과 같은 다양한 기능을 사용할 수 있습니다. #1 분석 도구가 어디에 있나요?엑셀 분석 도구는 기본 설치 사항이 아닙니다. 그래서 처음 사용하시는 분들이 엑셀에서 아무리 분석 도구를 찾아보시려고 해도 나타나지 않습니다. 애당초 설치되어 있지 않거든요. 여러분이 사용하시는 엑셀에서 '분석 도구'가 보이지 않아도 너무 걱정하지 마세요. 분석 도구는 언제든 설치할 수 있습니다. 지금부터 엑셀에서 분석 도구 설치하는 방법을 알아보겠습니다. 어렵지 않으니 사진과 설명을 보면서 차근차근 따라오시면 됩니다. #2 설치 방법엑셀 상단의 메뉴에는 파일, 홈, 삽입, 그리기부터 도움말까지 10개의 메뉴가 있습니다. 그 중에서 맨 앞에 있는 [파일]을 선택하세요. 메뉴에서 [파일]을 선택하면 아래와 같은 화면이 나옵니다. 왼편 바에서 가장 하단에 있는 [옵션]을 클릭해주세요. [Excel 옵션] 창이 뜹니다. 이 창에서는 엑셀을 편리하게 사용하기 위한 다양한 기능을 설정할 수 있어요. 일단 이번에는 '분석 도구' 설치에만 집중해 봅니다. 왼쪽 바에서 [추가 기능]을 선택해주세요. [추가 기능] 창의 아래쪽에 [관리]라는 항목이 보입니다. 옆에 드롭다운 목록을 펼쳐주세요. 드롭다운 메뉴는 '▼' 모양이 그려진 단추를 누르면 펼쳐집니다. 목록 안에 [Excel 추가 기능]이라는 항목이 있습니다. [Excel 추가 기능]을 선택하고 우측의 [이동] 단추를 클릭합니다. 그러면 아래와 같이 [추가 기능] 창이 나옵니다. 모두 4개의 항목이 있네요. 각자 다른 역할을 하는 기능들입니다. 특히 '해 찾기 추가 기능'은 시뮬레이션 작업을 할 때 종종 긴요하게 사용되는 기능입니다. 4개의 항목 중에서 [분석 도구]를 선택하면 하단에 '통계 및 엔지니어링 분성용 데이터 분석 도구를 제공합니다.'라는 메시지가 나옵니다. [분석 도구] 앞에 있는 박스를 체크하고 우측의 [확인]을 누릅니다. 설치가 완료되었습니다. 변화가 느껴지시나요? 사실 설치 후에도 크게 변화된 부분은 없습니다. 다만, 데이터 메뉴를 가보시면 맨 오른쪽에 [데이터 분석]이라는 항목이 새로 생긴 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 축하드립니다. 데이터 분석 설치를 완료하셨습니다. 이제 아래 그림에서 보는 것 같은 다양한 기능들을 사용하실 수 있습니다. 각 기능에 대한 설명과 사용 방법들은 추후에 하나하나 살펴보겠습니다. 모두 당당한 하루 보내세요~ You have made some really good points there.
