하드디스크나 SSD를 공장초기화 하기 위해서는 로우 레벨 포맷을 진행합니다.

로우 레벨 포맷은 디스크의 섹터 레코드에 0값을 채우는 것으로 로우 레벨 포맷을 진행하면 데이터 복구가 불가능하게 됩니다.

SD Memory Card Formatter 프로그램을 사용하면 이러한 로우 포맷을 USB , SD카드와 같이 이동식 저장장치에서도 할 수 있는데요.

이번에는 USB / SD카드 로우 포맷 방법 방법에 대해 알려드리겠습니다.

▲ SD Memory Card Formatter 설치프로그램 실행 후 설치를 진행합니다.

▲ SD Card Formatter 프로그램이 실행되면, Select card 부분에서 로우 포맷을 할 USB를 지정해주신 후 Formatting option 부분에 있는 [Overwrite format / CHS format size adjustment]에 "체크" 후 "Format"를 클릭합니다.

▲ 그럼 위와 같이 포맷을 진행하면 USB내에 있는 모든 파일이 삭제된다는 메세지창이 나타납니다.

"예"를 클릭하면 USB 로우 포맷이 시작됩니다.

용량에 따라 소요되는 시간은 다르지만, 8GB 기준 약 15분정도 소요됩니다.

"확인"을 클릭하신 후 프로그램을 종료해주시면 됩니다.

The Samsung Format Utility is a program designed specifically for Samsung external drives. It can format the drive using either the NTFS or FAT32 file system.

Release Notes

Using the Samsung Format Utility will erase all data on the external drive. Be sure that you have backed up all data from the external drive before running this utility.

Instructions

• Step 1

  Download the Samsung Format Utility program to your desktop.

• Step 2

  Right click on the zip file and extract it to the Desktop (or some other convenient location).

• Step 3

  Ensure that the Samsung external drive is connected to your system.

• DOWNLOAD

  Step 4

  Doubl -click on Formatter_v2.5.exe and follow the prompts.
